This past week I had a few hardships, some brought by my own mistakes and others by chance, so when I am feeling blue I seek the ocean. I invited Carmin to hang out, we spent the day talking about life, dreams and hard work. I have always loved the ocean, the waves, its vast and infinite horizon. I will leave you with an extract from one of my favourite poets, Pablo Neruda about the sea and perspective: "I need the sea because it teaches me. I don't know if I learn music or awareness, if it's a single wave or its vast existence, or only its harsh voice or its shining one, a suggestion of fishes and ships. The fact is that until I fall asleep, in some magnetic way I move in the university of the waves."

I agree, when I'm doing work sometimes I'll put sounds of the ocean to keep me calm and concentrated.

I think we all have this place to which we run when we feel blue and it helps us in some magical way to get back on our feet. It makes our minds clearer... I hope that the ocean helped and you feel much better now :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quote. I've heard it before but I didn't know it was by Mr Neruda. I love the ocean, I'm an aquarian and by nature water pumps in my veins. Maybe that is key to some of my blocks. I need to seek salty air and sandy toes for a while...
