CULOTTES

WEARING: Club Monaco Blazer and Cashmere Turtleneck, No Brand Culotte, Celine Trio Bag and Converse sneakers.

My friend M'c Kenneth and I were overdue for a catch up session, so we took the opportunity to take some photos and do a late lunch. Sometimes you get so busy that you forget to set aside time for yourself and the things that you enjoy doing. The weather continues to be confused, sunny one moment and pouring rain the next, these shots were no exception. Regardless we had a great time.

I am a big believer that something which may no longer be good for one person, can be a treasure to another. This high waist wool culotte is an example of that; it was my friend's and she no longer wanted them. I took it home, added some extra loving by taking off buttons, cutting out some over designs, and voila the culottes found a new home. I love how wide the legs are, and as much as I love skinny cuts, it is always good to try something new. It makes me happy to see that the "world of fashion" is finally embracing what most of us already knew: sneakers are the way to go! Heels for me have always been for special occasions, I am more of a sneaker girl myself. What about you?

    Love how you repurposed your friend's culottes! They look so street-chic with the sneakers and blazer. I'm more of a heels girl myself, but I can always get behind a great pair of Converse!

    I used to wear only sneakers, if they had bones, I would love them to the bones :). Now, I'm more of a black boots girl, but a collection of sneakers in my closet still exists and awaits for warmer and less muddy weather.
    I adore this outfit, especially how the sneakers look with those pants. I have a small obsession over high waisted, wide trousers so this is definatelly my cup of tea.

    they're great and I love it that they're second hand. I got mine from mom, they used to be a regular pair of pants, but too short for me, so I had them shortened and voila, a great "new" pair of cropped wide-legs for me.
