UPDATES

WEARING: DIY Mesh Crop Top, American Apparel Pants and Jelly Sandals, H&M Clutch and Club Monaco Leather belt & Sunnies.

I am usually not a sucker for trends, nor am I easily convinced to follow them; but when I saw that the jelly shoes were doing a come back I was thrilled. This is a late 80's, early 90's trend that I loved. I had them as a little girl. So with a touch of nostalgia I got a pair from American Apparel, they are made in the UK. I feel like a kid all over again! The DIY crop top I am wearing was a sleeveless turtleneck, so I bought some mesh to make the sleeves, then did some cutting and sewing.

On a collection note I am in the best mood possible, this past week was very productive. I finally had my photo shoot and I could not be happier with what I have seen so far! Girls (and boys) things are getting real and it feels so good. Especially when you work with a team of talented, enthusiastic people - the crew went the extra mile for this project. I am humbled by the experience. It is nice to see all the hard work that I have put in for the past 6 months finally coming together. Life is good <3

  7. Ahh, I had jelly shoes when I was little too! I could never pull them off now though, but somehow you've managed to perfectly here, you're almost making me want a pair too! Love the really angular silhouette & the awkward (in a good way!) proportions of this look, that little bit of stomach showing is perfect!
So pleased to hear you've had a productive week & that everything is coming together nicely with the collection. Really looking forward to seeing the results of all your hard work! :)

  10. I feel the same way about my leather pinafore! Okay, I never had a leather pinafore as a kid, but I still get those fun, childlike vibes from the shape of the dress. It's oddly comforting to re-live those things from your childhood.

Very much looking forwards to seeing your collection. x
