WEARING: Margiela x H&M Men's Blazer, H&M Pants and Dior Heels.

My NYE was mellow, I spent it watching some of my favourite movies, eating take out, drinking wine and treating myself to tons of candy. All of this in the comfort of my pj's. It may sound boring compared to all the parites I was invited to, but I really wanted to start the year in peace and not in some busy club or party. 

 This is my first outfit of the year. Keeping it simple, no fuss, just some black and white action. Ready to take over the new year in my men's Margiela blazer (yes once again I shopped in the men section, what can I say it is so much better). I love the double breast and oversized shoulders. I think I made it my own by pairing it with some tight pants and Dior Heels: all very much inspired by one of my fashion icons and French power house Emmanuelle Alt.  Photos by Crystal. Thanks!     love Emmanuelle Alt's style too... and your outfit's awesome.. although I can't buy in the men section at all.. sometimes not even in women's I have to get everything altered to fit my extremely petite height... too bad there's no edgy kid section at H&M... have a cool year.. all the best for 2013.. btw.. awesome sketches on the previous post!

    DAMN, that sounds like the perfect NYE...mostly since it involved copious amounts of candy. Love the look, very streamlined. Damn that blazer is good. And the shoes! I'm not typically a peep-toe person but THOSE Dior's are so chic!

    My New Year was pretty similar too, it was honestly a nice change to just have some peace, eat rubbish food, drink & slob around! I don't know if that means I'm getting old & boring, but it feels refreshing to not feel the pressure to go out to lots of partys & be having tonnes of fun like I have the years before.
    The blazer is so good on you, like it was made for you, it's such a perfect mix of structure & slouch. I considered the womens version of this with the high shoulders, but it fitted oddly, can't believe I didn't think to try the mens one out!
