UPSIDE DOWN

WEARING: Zara Blazer, James Perse Tank, American Apparel Pants, Dior Heels and PVC DIY Clutch.

Things have been upside down for me since launching the LINEAR collection. I have received beautiful emails, texts, messages and tweets that expressed some of the most positive feedback, one could hope for. Thanks to those who took the time to show me some love. Also, thanks to the those who shared my website on their facebook pages and through twitter. Word of mouth and a lil social networking can go a long way. I was extremely busy with two private showings in my studio to a very selective group of friends and supportive colleagues. I have nothing but love for those of you who came out and were able to take the time to support me. MERCI!

BASICS

WEARING: Melissa Araujo Basic Shirt Dress, Alejandro Ingelmo Booties and Vintage Accessories.

I am really excited to share another piece from the LINEAR collection with you, also I wanted to spread the word that this Thursday June 13.13, my collection will drop online and you can see the whole thing! I love this piece, an essential basic that is extremely comfortable, because it's bamboo jersey. I also appreciate that it can be worn by a girl or a guy, being androgynous is key to any good basic.
Also in the subject of basics the lovely people at VARIIED contacted me recently. They asked me if I could answer a few questions, describe some of my go-to pieces, and put it all together with a collage. Check out the interview and some of my favorite items here.

TEXTURES + SHADOWS

WEARING: Brandy Melville Crop Top, H&M Leather Jacket, American Apparel Velvet Leggings + Hat, Aldo Shoes, Vintage Accessories and Alexander Wang Marion Bag.

When you wear as much black as I do, you have to play with its textures. Here is a great example how you can be creative and have fun with black. I have cotton, leather and velvet on, all strong textures, made better when you mix them together.  I love leather too much, I could wear it everyday; day and night.

This is by far one of my favourite blog shoots. Number one, this was shot by the TrichesTadiello crew whom I love and I miss so much (come back!). Number two, it really represents my aesthetics, from the simplicity of the backdrop, the muted colours of the outfit, to the bright sun and play with the shadows. Yes I have an obsession with shadows. It is like Peter Pan (one of my favourite books) could come at anytime to take me to Neverland; where my imagination has no limits and my shadow would have a life on her own.

Thank you for all the support, the kind words and your comments about my designs. Life is good!
