WEARING: Melissa Araujo Vest-Dress & Tank (sold separately), Alejandro Ingelmo Booties, Vintage Bracelets.

I am extremely happy with the result of the lookbook. I can't wait to slowly unveil it here and hopefully on the website soon. Along with that I have been illustrating some of the designs - not all of them yet, in good time. This is the Vest Dress that I wore for my last post, I had a lot of requests to show how it can be worn, so here it is. I obviously love it; easy to wear and style and great for travelling (I am all about pieces that travel well). Of the 16 pieces, I wanted to show this one first. I hope you like it and don't forget once the shop is up, support independent designers!

One last thing, I have to thank a few peeps: Kyran Yeomans for his professionalism and amazing magic! Working with him on this project was a pleasure and such a positive experience from beginning to end. Please check out his work hereJeff Nicholls, who has been nothing but supportive to me since this new collection started. Last but not least, Victoria Leeds aka Creative Marmalade for contacting me to do an interview, it was a great way to start the week. Read it in full here. Thank you!

WEARING: Melissa Araujo Vest-Dress (new collection), American Apparel Jumper & Matte Leggings, Alexander Wang Marion Bag, Margiela x H&M necklace worn as a bracelet and Vintage Boots.

I am wearing one of my new designs in the photos, the vest dress from my new collection. You can wear this piece 3 ways, here it is used as a vest. I can't wait to share the lookbook, it is coming soon - I promise. I love this look for its simplicity and lack of over exposure or loudness. I have a pretty strong personality, my way of balancing that with the rest of my life is by taking a minimalist approach to styling and design.

WEARING: DIY Mesh Crop Top, American Apparel Pants and Jelly Sandals, H&M Clutch and Club Monaco Leather belt & Sunnies.

I am usually not a sucker for trends, nor am I easily convinced to follow them; but when I saw that the jelly shoes were doing a come back I was thrilled. This is a late 80's, early 90's trend that I loved. I had them as a little girl. So with a touch of nostalgia I got a pair from American Apparel, they are made in the UK. I feel like a kid all over again! The DIY crop top I am wearing was a sleeveless turtleneck, so I bought some mesh to make the sleeves, then did some cutting and sewing.

On a collection note I am in the best mood possible, this past week was very productive. I finally had my photo shoot and I could not be happier with what I have seen so far! Girls (and boys) things are getting real and it feels so good. Especially when you work with a team of talented, enthusiastic people - the crew went the extra mile for this project. I am humbled by the experience. It is nice to see all the hard work that I have put in for the past 6 months finally coming together. Life is good <3

I am so excited to share some snaps of my newest collection: Linear. The collection is all about playing with lines, cuts and hems. This past week has been full of organizing and planning the shoot, finding the location, getting the shoes, trying hair and make up. So many things go on behind the scenes before it is all done. Our scheduled time for the actual shoot is this Wednesday (wish me luck). I am beyond happy, ecstatic. Everything is ready and I will soon be able to share more photos and designs here. I am still working on the illustrations, trying to do something different than I normally do; it's really been a trial and error process. Here is to a great and productive week!
