GEOMETRIC SHAPES

WEARING: H&M Conscious Jacket, Melissa Araujo Crop TopCameo SkirtRachael Ruddick Le Trop Bag, Tibi LoafersGalisfly Bracelet and 8 Other Reasons Rings.

I am always inspired by geometrical shapes, I think that is the reason I usually design or buy pieces that resemble those sharp lines. One of my favorite pieces from the latest MA collection is this Crop Top. Not only do I wear it a lot over the Summer, I also use it year round. It is a great basic as long as you know how to layer and style it for the right season. On this particular day the weather was being indecisive, at moments cold and rainy and at others nice and warm, so I added the coat for protection in case it was necessary. Also, check out how Vanessa from The Haute Pursuit styled her top here. If you love our Crop Top as much as we do make sure to order yours here!

A CLASS ACT

WEARING: Melissa Araujo Dress, THPShop Vest, Adidas Superstar II, Vintage Prada Bag and Quay Australia Sunnies.

I don't often go to fashion events, to tell you the truth they are normally not my scene and I am usually just too busy. This past weekend however, I had the pleasure of attending one with my friend M'c Kenneth, a re-opening for Boboli. The event crowd was lively, great company and they did an amazing job with the new space. I am glad I went, I was able to meet and talk with some like-minded people of all ages, who truly love design. If you need new pieces added to your closet I recommend that you visit them for a great diversity of designers, and while you're there you can also get some interior design inspiration.

WHITE ON WHITE

Wearing: Melissa Araujo Cut Out Dress, Oak and Fort Shirt Dress, Adidas Superstar, Alexander Wang Marion Bag, THP SHOP Bound Cuffs.

My prayers for a good September have been answered so far. The weather has been insanely nice for this time of the year, I have not touched a fall jacket or sweater yet. I have been able to spend my days in a dress and a light outerwear. This Melissa Araujo Dress is one of my favourites from the Linear collection; it is minimal, simple but has its own personality. There is also nothing like a good pair of sneakers to give some street style credit to the whole outfit.

One of my friends asked me to list my 10 favourite books... it is very hard for me as I love to read. Thinking about what I have read during different times in my life, and how I have liked or identified with different books, makes it difficult to pick so few, but I will try my best. In your comments please let me know what your favourites are as well. The ever evolving and changing list in no particular order:

1. Pride and Prejudice (Jane Austin)
2. Jane Eyre (Jane Austin)
3. Lord of the Flies (William Golding)
4. Oliver Twist (Charles Dickens)
5. The little Prince (Antoine De Saint-Exupery)
6. Captains of the Sand (Jorge Amado)
7. Dracula (Bram Stoker)
8. Anna Karenina (Leo Tolstoy)
9. Love In The Time of Cholera (Gabriel Garcia Marquez)
10. The Unbearable Lightness of Being (Milan Kundera)

FROM THE SIDELINES

WEARING: Zara Knit Top, Sandals & Cuffs, Vintage Leather Bermudas, Calvin Klein Bag and H&M Rings.

NYFW is in full force; most designers have already shown, but there are still a few more to go. Once again I am watching from the sidelines, appreciating everything from far, while continuing to dream that one day I will be part of it; even if it will be on a small scale. How wonderful would be to have the opportunity and experience of attending some of the shows and parties. Did any of you go? If you have been checking online like I have; let me know what were your favourite collections, and who you are still excited to see.

GOOD SPORT

WEARING: DIY Tank Top, Melissa Araujo Asymmetric SkirtSplendid Leggings, Nike Free, Alexander Wang Marion Bag, THP Bound Cuff and H&M Rings.

Summer for me is the best time of the year, I cannot believe that today is already September 1st... which can only mean that Fall is just around the corner. Am I the only one who finds it hard to transition from warm to colder weather? I don't mean just with the outfits, but the actual weather. I will be holding on to the last sunny, warm days, because I know that it will be wet and cold in the coming seasons. I am in no hurry to jump into Fall, until it is absolutely necessary. As we transition, I will slowly add layers and long sleeve pieces as needed, I am trying to be a good sport.
